Every time there is a new phenomenon in our world, new studies are done to research it. The majority of these studies are carried out by professors and scientist. Yet, you may have heard of this type of case study elsewhere. In fact, many studies were done by the military during World War II, based on the soldiers of human beings. They would keep a close watch on the human beings to see how well they performed under different conditions. These studies were so extensive that most people don't even realize that it was a case study. You may be even more surprised when you find out that a study actually did end up causing a major change in the human species. Some of the most famous case stud ies were carried out by Charles Lindbergh, he who became the first pilot to cross the Atlantic Ocean solo. He found that flight crews needed to take extra precautions in order to avoid harm. The military found a case study that focused on a critical crash program. When they tried to replicate what happened, a crash program was needed that was separate from the normal day to day operations. In fact, the crash program was even managed by a separate department. The crash department was able to determine exactly how good the group was and used it as a basis for the improvement of the group. In many cases, private companies will bring in case studies in order to make improvements to the company.
